VA El Duque

2019 Andalusian Gelding

Duque is offered for sale
$20,000 CDN

Sold

VA El Duque is an Andalusian Bay gelding from Canadian National Supreme Champion mare VMF Coqueta Elegante and US and Canadian National Champion stallion, VA Manolete’s Hijo Amado. Duque is also half sibling to US Champion and twice Canadian National Supreme Champion VA La Duquesa (through his dam) and half sibling to both Supreme National Champions VA Alejo and VA San Paulo (through his sire).  He was absolutely bred for dressage.

Duque started training under saddle late fall of 2023, he then started a new program the following fall with a new trainer. He now has been in a steady solid program since then with Brandy MacRae at Rancho Dos Rosas in Rocky View County, Alberta

Duque is a goofy and fun young horse. Green broke, walk/trot/canter. He is an excellent dressage prospect with lots of athleticism. He is excelling in a lower-level dressage training program and has a solid groundwork program under his belt. He is a smart but sensitive boy, always willing to please and try his best! He needs a leader as a partner, and so he is best suited for a very confident amateur rider, a confident young rider with a good trainer/coach, or a trainer looking for a fun partner! This guy has lots of future talent and is fun to ride; he floats like a cloud!

J Vanity Fair
(Venus)

2014 KWPN Mare
$15,000 CDN

Venus is a registered Dutch warmblood

Her sire is Vaust S and Dam is Tamara.

Venus is an incredibly smart and well trained mare that has the potential to take a good and confident amateur rider into the winners circle at every show in heights up to 1.10 meters. She schools nicely up to 1.20 but has never shown at that height.

Venus requires a confident amateur rider in a good program she is definitely not suitable for a green amateur.

Venus is a super easy keeper, absolutely no issues loading in any type of trailer and travels well, very good with the farrier, good ground manners, no maintenance.
